No. Those who work for me cannot take the weight of what I do. They are there simply to guard or to be servants of my realm.

Could you ask for help then? Or even train those who work for you? It seems indeed that you are likely doing the job of several people by yourself! A little unfair, in truth.

It is not their duty. I will not train them to do a task they were not given by the Heavens. That is not for me to decide.

Why not? Folk can learn, after all - it may not be suited, but why would it matter if they tried?

All of us would be punished by the Heavens for it. That is why it would matter.

[The Heavens are strict about their obedience. One does not go against them. Which brings a frown to his face as he thinks of something before shaking his head. No. It's nothing.]

Why would the Heavens care how you do your job so long as it gets done? It seems terribly inefficient...

Why is it inefficient? I have never been behind on my work and souls are moved every day.

My friend, you've already told me you've no time for anything but your work - is that not inefficient? When we held the Siege in the early days of the war, not even Maedhros, with his need to control everything, tried to do it all himself, but indeed he delegated work to those he trusted! That way, we could cover more ground, and indeed, do more, for all worked where they might best use their skills, and had time enough for rest and joy. Without those... well. We might have held, I suppose. But it was certainly easier! It's simply a better division of time and skill.

A war is not the same thing as a duty assigned by the heavens.

Not in the detail, no - but the principles are the same. If you do it all by yourself, you'll burn yourself out, my friend, and work less efficiently too!

Immortals cannot be burned out by their sacred duties. That is not in our nature. If we have been tasked with a duty such as mine or another such as controlling Fate then we are the ones capable of the task.

I am sure. No Immortal has ever experienced this. I have never understood this need for a life as you call it.

You might think not, but I think me that is only because you don't know what it's like to live any differently. I suspect you're far more tired than you think.

Is it from your homeland, then? There have been folk reporting that some things have come across the barrier between worlds.

I come from the Heavens. This tea is something more commonly found in the Mortal Realm. You would have to ask someone who visits the Mortal Realm more than I do if it can only be found where I come from.

Surely a tea should be transferable between? I would not have thought that tea, of all things, is not available in both places...

Then I think you might be able to find this as well, perhaps, if you look. It is very good tea, after all. It would be a shame to miss out on simple joys, just because of location!

It is a good place to start! It's a small thing, really. Doesn't take much time. But sharing a drink with friends is always comforting, and tea is a fairly non-controversial choice, in that regard. You could try wine too, but if you are not wishing to overly interupt your work, that might be a problem.
