[ That cloud is adorable but Maglor will try very hard to not react ]
I live here in the city [ Name of random place idk ] He has mentioned it, I believe, but I do not have the knowledge to understand most of the explanation, I fear!
[Luckily Wufei is both aware of and used to the little cloud that seems to pop up whenever it pleases to telegraph his emotions to the world at large. He even waves a hand at a little puff of glittery pink, as if the cloud will move for him. It does not.]
[He nods as the location is given, committing it to memory.] It can be challenging to explain what a Gundam is to those from other worlds. Regardless, they are... they were precious to us, so I felt it appropriate to have his ring made from a piece of Deathscythe. I will be there soon. [He bows to the screen.]

[Wufei has never been particularly comfortable with wasting time. Even as a child, his time was filled with this activity or that, even if it was simply meditating because he had nothing else he could do. So it's not odd at all for him to move forward with something right away.
So he shows up at the location provided, looking almost like a local if it weren't for the tight ponytail and bronze cloud floating around his head and shoulders. In one arm, cradled like a child, is the towel-wrapped chunk of Deathsythe. It's hidden from view by the towel, but the shape is obviously irregular, like something salvaged.]
[Wufei bows in greeting, and nods when he straightens up again.]
I am, yes, and it is. I believe it came off one of the wings. [He pulls open the towel, letting Maglor get a look at the metal inside. It's a dark metal, twisted around like it's been in an explosion, with scuffed paint on one of its surfaces.] I only ask that you do not make weapons from what remains when Duo's ring is finished. The Gundams were weapons of war used to bring about peace, destroyed so that they could never again be used to take lives.
[ Maglor hums in intrigue, and with a look at Wufei for permission reaches out to run a hand over the metal consideringly ]
There's more than enough here for a ring - two, even, if you wanted to match. And you can keep the rest - I'm sure I don't know what I'd do with it! But I am glad to hear that - Duo... and you, as well. You're too young, for war, although I know it makes no distinction.
[He holds the metal out for Maglor, nodding when he reaches out to touch, and takes a moment to consider the offer.]
I think I will leave that to Duo. I don't think it's a common custom where we're from for both parties to wear engagement rings, but I will tell him you have more Gundanium after I propose. [He knew Duo would be able to think up something clever to do with it, even if it wasn't another ring. That cloud that had been bronze has suddenly gone a very soft, sparkly pink as he thinks of his lover.]
But very light, compared to other metals. It can only be forged amongst the stars. [He then tells Maglor how hot his forge will need to get, what visible 'tells' the metal has that it's ready to be worked, and that it can't simply be melted and poured into a cast without separating into its base metals.]
[It really was going to be a tricky project. Wufei bows again when he's finished explaining.] I'm not skilled in working with metal, but if you would like my assistance, I will be happy to do what I can. I'm quite a bit stronger than I look. [Though far less so than many others he's encountered since arriving. He's just an above-average human, after all.]
Meteoric ore! [ He lifts an eyebrow and the hummed note shifts, until the piece vibrates back ]
Well - I have never worked with this, but you've done your research. [ He nods thoughtfully when Wufei is done. ] I can definitely work with this, aye. Have you an idea for a design you want?
[Wufei lifts both brows at the humming trick, but nods in agreement.] Man-made, but yes. As for design... something that at least appears plain. He grew up very poor, so having something too elaborate would make him uncomfortable... perhaps simply making the ring appear like a braid?
[Design is not his strong suit, but he's trying.] Or, if he's shown you the cross he wears, a design that would complement it. [That cloud is back to the bronze color, as his brow furrows a little, pondering the design options and trying to be sure he picks the 'best' one.]
A braid... [ Maglor murmurs thoughtfully and grabs pen and paper to sketch a design out. ]
Did you want precious stones included? Or just the metal? I could incorporate the gems in the braid or set them apart... I assume you would both prefer something that doesn't jut out too far.
[Wufei nods, watching in silence as Maglor worked, considering the question carefully.]
No stones, nothing that would make it reflect too much light. Perhaps five openings in the strands instead? Five was my designation during the war. [His bronze cloud is gathering close around him as he concentrates.] Or perhaps two, that was his designation. I... engagement rings are not a tradition in my culture, so I'm afraid I'm not certain what details should inform the design.
[ Maglor hums consideringly ] Five might work better then, since you are offering him a promise from yourself. And truthfully, anything at all! It is entirely up to you. Some folk will go for just a basic band, in truth.
[Wufei nods as he thinks it over for a moment.] A simple braided band with five openings, then. I doubt he would like anything fancier than that, and it shows sufficient thoughtfulness.
[He's not confident in his design decisions, but he knows Duo will appreciate that he put forth the effort. And found a craftsman skilled enough to make it look good. There was no way Wufei would be able to make something worthy with his own hands.] I'm truly grateful for your assistance. [And he bows again, much more deeply this time.]
[His cheeks are tinged pink as he straightens up and offers Maglor a smile.] My apologies, it is a very common way to show respect and gratitude where I come from. If there is ever anything you require assistance with, please let me know. [His cloud has turned a sunny shade of yellow as it hovers around his shoulders.]
[He almost bows again, but manages to stop himself before he completes the gesture.] Then I hope you will forgive me for bowing once more, when you are done with it. Something so precious surely justifies a show of gratitude. If there is nothing I can do to assist in the process, I shall leave you to it. [This time he just nods his head, instead of bowing.

here works fine for me =3
Wufei, yes? Ah! And this must be the piece you wish me to work with? It's a fair bit bigger than I expected.

Ai! No, no - there is no need for that. This is something I am glad to do for one I am very fond of.

Well, there's truth to that in mine, too. But I am no lord, to be honored so. I am glad to do this - for him, and for you.
