What good would their deaths bring the world? They must...continue. Somehow.

(Distractedly, she nods.) I wonder where they keep them?

Perhaps, but it often is so, all the same. It is why one should never discount anyone because they are small or weak or simple - one is often surprised, if they do.

As to that, I do not know. Persumably they have a place outside of the city, in the forests, I assume.

I think your kindness opened your heart to someone like me. I was weak and my view of the world was...simple. (She flushes at her own innocence and naiveté.) I was too frightened to be myself.

I am told it is something that does happen, with time. He has consented to bear me, yes. Although I find that I prefer it when he keeps closer to the ground.

Shouldn't it happen when I am old? (She frowns and earns a playful huff - which sends her hair flying - from the Thestral beside her.)

Mm, I... dislike heights, as it turns out. But Tambo has been very careful with me.

I do not think I have such a fear, but I will not speak prematurely. (Since her Thestral friend is looking rather mischievous.)

He wouldn't - ! (She turns and the Thestral bobs his head playfully, stretching out his wings with a whinny.) We need to talk about this.

(Sansa lays a hand on the Thestral's nose, caressing softly.)

I am only grateful Tambo deigns to spend time with me.

A fine if mischievous people! (Sansa lays a hand on one of those mighty wings, admiring.)

I would be eager to spend time with someone who could see me too. Can you imagine being invisible to most?

It must be hard. [ Maglor smiles as Tambo comes over to be scratched and obliges ]

But I suppose if one is used to it...

Does that make it better? To be accustomed to being ignored? Overlooked? (She may or may not be talking about her situation; not the Thestrals'.)

Not better, maybe. But it becomes something one is... used to. A scab over the wound.

Scabs are ugly and they are too good for them. (Sansa gently covers the Thestral's ears as if she wants to shield them from the world's cruelties.)

Scabs are necessary for healing, however.

Not all wounds heal.

No. [ Maglor agrees, and who would know better ] But they do scar.
