{Maedhros doesn't bother respond, simply heads for the river and searches for Maglor. Finno finds Maglor first and swoops down to land on his shoulders, chirping happily at him.}

[ Luin flies up to greet his sibling, hissing crossly and shooing him off his elf's shoulders when she tries to stay longer than a "hello" ]

Hello to you too, Finno. Do not be such a jealous creature, Luin.

{Finno chuffs at Luin, wings flaring in feigned challenge before taking wing and darting to Maedhros. He grins, rubbing a soothing knuckle down Finno's scales as he approaches.}

Perhaps you have a hidden jealous side, little brother, and Luin is picking up on it?

I have always been jealous. [ Maglor smiles up at his brother and gestures to the spot next to him, soothing Luin ]

Luin just needs to learn to share, as I did.

{Maedhros sits beside his brother and wraps an arm around him, dropping a kiss to his brow.} And just as I had to learn, when you came along. Then again when Tyelko was born. Luin will learn.

[ Maglor hums happily, leaning into his brother's hold. ]

{Maedhrus flushes.} I was fortunate from the beginning with you as my brother.

Finno might have his claws full.

Maedhros brushes a hand gently over Maglor's hair, playing with the ends a bit.}

[ Maglor smiles up at him, contentment in his humming, the madness settled and quiet, for the moment ]

{Maedhros returns the smile. It's good to see the madness eased toward the back of his brother's mind.}

Your best is always good enough. She does well. Shall I fetch some of her lemon tarts for you and Lord Ciel?

[ Something flickers briefly through his eyes at that, there and gone,

Ciel would like that, I think. [ Maglor nods ] He has a sweet tooth, which is not surprising, considering his actual age!

{It's seen anyway and Maedhros tightens his hold on his brother, dropping a kiss to the top of his head. He has many regrets, and what he did to Maglor is at the top.}

Then I will bring a platter. And some food, perhaps we could all have dinner together soon? At the Manor.

[bythewaves]

That would be good, I think. Ciel should not be alone.

[castintofire]

None of us should be.

[bythewaves]

He told me you could stay in the Manor too, if you wanted.

[ Maglor leans against him ]

But I told him that you wanted to stay where you and Fingon and Sansa had a home.

[castintofire]

{Maedhros will shelter his family as much as he can.}

Just as you cannot leave Ciel alone, I cannot leave Sansa alone. But perhaps, with the Earl's permission, we might both spend some nights at the Manor.

[bythewaves]

Mm. I would have come home, I promise... but Vincent is gone, as is Sebastian. I know Ciel is strong, but I dislike him being alone. I do not think he will mind if you do - he is kinder than he credits himself.

[castintofire]

{Maedhros ruffles his brother's hair, fond.}

I know, Kano. We will protect him together. Both of them.

[ Maglor leans into the ruffle with a content hum ]
